Your score is just the start. Program eligibility, the right NOC, reference letters and the right timing to enter the pool matter as much as the points. I build that strategy with you.

Estimate based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) rules published by IRCC, including the new labour market integration factor in effect since November 3, 2026 and the high-wage occupation list (2023 to 2025 data). It does not guarantee eligibility or an invitation (ITA). Your official score is the one calculated in your Express Entry profile. By Fabiana Colen, RCIC.

CRS score: frequently asked questions

What changed in the CRS on November 3, 2026?

IRCC created the labour market integration factor (up to 150 points without a spouse or partner and 140 with one). You get the higher of: points for Canadian work experience (length of experience + up to 70 extra points for 12 months in a high-wage occupation) or points for a job offer in a high-wage occupation (50, 70 or 100 points). The job offer no longer needs an LMIA.

What is a high-wage occupation?

It is an occupation (NOC code) whose median wage in Canada is at least 1.3 times the national average median wage. The NOC is what counts, not your individual salary. The list has three tiers: 1.3×, 1.5× and 2×.

What score do I need to get an invitation (ITA)?

There is no fixed cut-off. It changes with every draw and depends on the draw type (general, CEC, French, healthcare, trades, PNP). Compare your score with the most recent draws on the IRCC website and consider whether a category-based draw could be your path.

Does work experience outside Canada count?

Yes, as foreign work experience, but it only earns points when combined with strong language results (CLB 7+) or Canadian work experience. That is why a language test is often the fastest way to raise your score.
